Just handed in my day 2 case a day early. :) cool! But whoaaaa it took me so long... It took me really long because I tried to learn everything in the marking guide, and obviously that is not a response that's written in 4 hours.

With 3 weeks to go, my plan right now is the following:

- get whatever needs to be done at a level of C
- really understand the cases and review my feedback
- write them in the time span alotted for and apply my feedback

Time is now 4:53 AM... My sleep pattern is still kinda crazy.. But I have a feeling I will rise to the occassion. No biggie.

5:25 AM - was surfing youtube looking for some entertaining clips. Nothing. All I found was people doing nothing to little. So now I put on my favorite video game sound track and I'm going to play slither.io haha :)

In slither.io, if you don't follow best practices you lose almost immediately!.... hmmm... I need to come up with a list of my best practices for studying for the CFE.

Something I like to do when I play slither... lol I dunno if this helps... It probably does because it shows how focused I am... I usually title my name: CFE gold medalist hahahaha... Fake it till you make it! My understanding is that, this ia really tough exam. The odd person will find it easy... But in my opinion, it will be tough! I personally don't take terms very lightly. For example, when I say: that guy is weak. Or that guy is strong. I mean it. I hope I do as well as I did in slither though. I placed first hahaha ... I rank in first a lot with a lot of practice :) Or I rank high... Hey there's another life lesson that can be inferred from a video game...: practice a lot and you'll rank high. :)

it is now:  6:01 AM... I'll probably pass out around 9 or 10... Which leaves me 4 hours to play with. And by play, I mean start the next case!!!! I don't really want to.... riiiight? Wrong. I'm motivated!!! Love listening to music. Fires me up! I actually like to dedicate my efforts to songs. Most of the examples I have of me doing this are on facebook, which I have deactivated. Thank you, thank you *bows* No, thank you! You're too kind. LOL anyways, ciaO!

Okay, today has been a write off. I was depressed because I have no girlfriend... :( boohoo! Also I know I can get one... Which is good. But I mean it's basically a tease. Because I can get one, but I know I shouldn't. I don't have the time, or money to spend with a girlfriend... so kinda sucks... I should be grateful for what I have though. I'm fairly good looking. My body is relatively amazing. I can spin in the air, fly in the air doing flips, I'm smart enough to get this far. So I have a lot going for me :) I suppose I was love sick... Oh man..

So the whole morning I had a runny nose, IT WOULD NOT STOP... I kept spitting phlegm, I know, I know, Gross. Then I had took some chicken my house keeper made, and put it in a bowl, filled it with water, warmed it up and ate it while I watched a show, and BAM! Good bye runny nose, I haven't heard from it since!!! Crap, I think it's coming back :S... I might have a bit of chicken soup and then I'll get to studying... I feel bad about talking to this girl I talk to online...

PINCH YOURSELF WHEN YOU FIND THAT YOU'RE ACTING INCONGRUENT WITH YOUR PLAN. My plan is to use my awake time to work, and not to do non-work activities. Time is now 12:20 AM. I would love to work until 12:20 PM, so that's what I'll try to do. CFE will last up until 1-2 PM depending on the day so work until 2 PM. And you're golden.

Time is just flying by!

My brother-in-law is sleeping on a couch in the middle of the room outside my room, so I exit my room to go to the kitchen on my floor. And as I'm opening the kitchen door he starts rustling in the bed sheet I threw on him the other night. And I was just like hello, it's just me. And then he went back to snoring... Really though... He shouldn't be sleeping in the middle of the room. It's not a bed room. :/ So I refuse to feel bad about waking him up... Not my fault man!!! Although I am a night owl...  Hey, not everyone's in the same situation. Just like not everyone takes assurance, albeit MOST people take assurance (i'm one of them).


Anyyyyways... I feel like I'm working a bit better... I don't think I'm working good enough, but I'm working better...

There are 2 qualities that I find that is needed to study well

1) the ability to work continuously

2) the ability to work efficiently.

If you have those two qualities, everyone needs stand back while you blow these cases away *WHOOOSH!*

1) I'm lacking in 1

2) I'm fairly strong in 2

Recommendations for myself:

1) Some alternative solutions:
- Think "it's not a big deal"
- Almost finish (by that I mean, personally when I finish studying a certain section, I stop. So just almost finish. and I won't stop!)
- Think "sacrifice for gold" - If you're somewhat competitive and you like to rank high among your peers then aim for the highest rank possible!
- do take a break but make it less often
2) work as efficiently as possible! (improvements here will be made... BUT I MUST MAKE THEM IMMEDIATELY AFTER I FINISH THE CASE I"M CURRENTLY WORKING ON)

<-- To me, this is inspiring. Whoever this dude is who gives these speeches is awesome. Some teenager shows that he's practiced day in and out to get better and better each time. He didn't just GET his goal. He got it by aiming for it every time. And eventually he got close. <-- This video is amazing!!!!!!! The narrator says a lot of valueable stuff. I highly recommend it to any candidates writing the CFE. It makes you think and act critically.

Also I noticed a 12 year old comment saying: he listens to this before every workout. I'm going to read and listen to it before every study session.

9:12 AM - debriefing

YOU"VE GOT TO BELIEVE!

Working smart and not hard really pays off!!! By that I mean,,, for example, when you do a case, you don't have to give all the points possible to achieve a mark of competent. I like to think that out of all the possible points let's say there are 12, you should give 1 more than half to assure yourself of a C. :) Theoretically, to me, this is correct. However, I should look back on all the feedback I got to see if this is true. Now that I think of it, while yes, THAT is true. You really have to do a perfect job on all the points you hit. So even if you do more than half, you may only be awarded half or less than half (because of the quality of points. That being said. It's basically essentially that you go back and check the quality of your points as well as filling in additionally points! :)

2:25 AM - stopped studying... I'll go back soon... Honestly, I'm not sure if I can finish by 8 AM... I really need to learn what I am doing and how to navigate the handbooks available to me during the exam. I refuse to rush through this, at the same time... I refuse to just stop and give up... It is a lot. I am getting through it... :) so I'm happy. I'm gonna go for a walk while I eat a granola bar and remind myself of motivations... Yes, they push me!!!

3:50 AM - started studying
6:00 AM - stopped studying

Damn! I'm going to start skipping stuff to learn because these cases are LONG! Even the case itself is long... I will go back and learn more, because that's just good practice. But to at least get the hang of things of how I will normally be approaching a case, I should focus on that first :)

2 days in a row, my goal has been unsuccessful, damnit!

Success goes to those who try and try again...

My thoughts:

You gotta work hard now, so that tomorrow is a brighter day. And by work hard I mean blood, sweat and tears...

7:14 AM - It's time to make history.

7:31 AM - Let the battle continue! I got back my results for the mock exam for day 2 and 3. While the results were not full competent (obviously because I didn't get to hit all the AOs and was so nervous that they would outright say I failed, I didn't! In fact some sections even said CD ;)) Alas... I'm feeling incredibly passionate about my mission to pass this thing. And I know exactly why. Back to studying now!

8:10 AM - stopped studying. Lied down. Recognized this is exactly when I fall asleep due to my biological rhythm. DENIED. I am fierce!!!!!!! I got up, ate a nature valley bar. And pretty soon, I will be studying some more. Sleep is great for your memory no doubt. But there's a lot I need to study and I can't study while I'm asleep.

Taking a break now...

I think I ended up studying till 9 AM or around there.

I went to sleep around then and woke up at 6 PM :S okay... so I need to go to bed at regular times lol... It's not HOrrrible considering that is 9 hours of sleep... It's just that there's a lot of knowledge to absorb and so little time to absorb it!

I have a new goal!: EFFICIENCY... Being efficient with my time will give me what I want! I.e. the ability to 1) absorb the knowledge I need 2) finish cases on time. I need to be efficient at both absorbing knowledge as well as typing it out into the software used to write exams.... That's pretty much all I had to say... OH... I could barely wake up... I was so insanely tired from trying to stay up past my biological clock's bed time. I'm gonna try to go to sleep normally now. I just have to come to terms with the fact that these days are limited, and I need to be as efficient as I possibly can! I've noticed my new efficiency attitude is working. I'm more hungry for knowledge in certain little time spans and I'm taking in more information where I can. Hopefully I can build more healthy habits... The exam is not too far away so I really have to kick some serious butt. Just gotta brush my teeth and then I'll be ready to start studying again..

Time is now 10 PM

last 24 hours ago I got approximately:  7 hours of work done... I'll aim to get that much done in a row. Just trying to do what I did before. That's it. Nothing super special, super incredibly amazing. Just match what I did yesterday. Bye. ttyl. Oh but if I can beat it, I will lol!

My aim is to finish by 8 AM...

It's 2:26 AM right now... I'm hoping I'll finish by 8 or around 8.. I gotta admit..It's quite difficult. These day 2 cases get the best of me!

But I'm hoping with the right amount of practice and maybe a change in technique, you will hear me saying: I enjoy this! It's definitely interesting! But when there is confounding information (i.e. information that is confusing since it doesn't agree with other parts of the information) it's not so fun :( lol... no worries WHEN this sort of thing happens on the actual test. You need to assume and move on. And before the test you need to ASK questions. Which I will do :) in the near future lol.

I studied a lot during the day but I didn't really keep track of it. All that's left is the auditing portion of the Day 2 case :)... Jeez, so long! But i truly do feel as though I am learning!!!

7:59 PM: I ate 5 fruits about an hour ago, and then had to go to the bathroom (lol TMI) but I swear it detoxified me! Damn <3 love smoothies.

I generally keep a blank piece of paper by my side for anything I have questions for when I'm going through a case. This way I can batch all my questions and then ask them over the cpa discussion board.

I'm going to exercise a bit! Since exercise helps with the brain ;) And then I'll finish off this day 2 :)

After exercising: I realized today that i have a way to get better at writing cases via exercising...

so personally, I'm a breakdancing champ... I have been since i was 14. I have won a few competitions, danced for the toronto blue jays, practiced with the best in the world. IN SUMMARY: I'm passionate about fitness. HOWEVER, this is where success breeds success, I always say: I'm a powermove in the mind, body, and soul. That means I"M NOT just a great athlete, I'm also a great thinker, I'm also a very compassionate person. This very motto of mine, is going to push me to excel. Because if I can excel with my body, I don't see a reason why I shouldn't be able to excel with my mind, IN FACT, I will push myself no matter WHAT! If I'm not done the Day 2 case by tomorrow morning, feel free to label me as someone who cannot excel using their brain. Bare in mind, the brain is technically the body, so if I can improve with my body, I can improve my brain.

So how does this apply to the reader? Take anything you're good at. Maybe you're good reading books. Maybe you're good at video game. Maybe you're great at sewing. I don't know! But ask yourself this: Are you a one trick monkey? Are you an idiot? The answer is most likely: no. So, do you think it's fair to say if you can excel in one area in your life, why shouldn't you be able to excel at studying? I think that's not only fair. It's awesome too!

So, I know I won't like it... I know it'll be tough. But I have something to prove. My mind is strong! Not only my breakdancing muscles. Ttyl... And I'm making the commitment to do something! You should too (assuming anyone reads this thing lol)...

Feeling refreshed after I showered, and then I danced.

Now I'm going to set a new record (it may not be that good warning) for my longest study session. Quality over quantity anyways right :P ahahaha... Okay..

STARTINGGGGG NOW!: 12:11 AM

damnit! It's only 12:49 AM... This is a great sign though :) because I've actually gotten a lot of work done in 40 minutes! :D... Okay back to work.

Also, personally, I wish I did a better job for the day 2 mock cfe, cuz I couldn't log back into securexam, and as a result I left out like 6 AOs out of the 9 AOs for auditing I did all the AOs for financial reporting though... For day 3 mock cfe i did a GREAT job... However it got worse and worse each case... Nevertheless, I think they will let me continue on with capstone 2... IF THEY DON't, whatever, I have learned a lot so far. And I'm a very understandable person. I believe worse comes to worse you have to redo capstone 2 correct? lemme check the candidate guide. It doesn't really tell me. Dude, these designations are CRAZY! I went through another designation before this (I WON"T SAY WHICH ONE hahaha). But oh man, they are so strict. I remember I handed in an assignment 8 minutes late. I thought it was 3 minutes but I guess there was like a 5 minutes I didn't account for. They kicked me out in a heart beat... However in that scenario, I had 2 other late assignments. For Capstone 2, I haven't had any problems . I also got 100% in Capstone 1... I'm hoping worse comes to worse I get bad feedback. Other than that, I'm going to just do my best, because it won't help anymore if I think about this. Just gotta keep moving forward!

12:57 AM - I wasn't doing work for let's see: 8 minutes! bUT i WAS SITTING DOWN...

Doesn't matter looool NOoooooo :'( okay so my record for today has been 40 minutes of straight work... I'll beat it ;) don't u worry!

3:54 AM - started studying again
4:33 AM - stopped studying

2:19 PM - just woke up; slept pretty great! I had ear plugs in my ears so that might've helped.

I reeeeeeeeeeeally want to finis this day 2 case today. I think it will be instrumental to my success! This room is cold I'm gonna go grab a long sleeve shirt... I think I can pull off a few hours of work YOu know right when you wake up.

Just called my friend (a fellow candidate) he said: I was going about studying the wrong way, because I'm looking too much at the resources...

WELL... I called him for some motivation. And that's what I got. I realllllly wanna show him. That I'm ready and what I'm doing is correct!!!

My aim for today is not 1 case but 2 cases!!!! ARGGGGG :D

I will need to:

Finish the entire case I'm currently writing
put it in my own words.
write out the feedback guide of another case
then write the entire case!
then put it in my own words!

I'm feeling beyond motivated. 1 game of slither before I attempt to work... oh yeah... sf3 alpha is so tough: here are some best practices I use to win maximum times: time my attacks, execute moves, use the best moves possible out of the moves available, attack within range.

Wow! I finally found a method to beat this one guy, that I could never consistently beat... But I figured it out! I pressed this button and Ryu (street fighter character) punches like crazy, and all of a sudden BAM! I figured out how to beat him consistently... I tried out this method on other characters, to see if it'd work. Low and behold, I can beat every character consistently by using this super repeat punch (I hold the button down lol)... What relevance does this have with the CFE? Well... It goes to show, Yes: success does go to those who TRY and TRY again. It also shows the importance of having time to experiment. I experimented when I tried out pressing a new button. If you keep doing the same things, you're gonna get the same results. So don't be afraid to make mistakes... I mean... I'm going through this process without a mentor or a peer. And I personally enjoy it more. What else? Yeah, I wanna let this success of mine breed success in the writing cases area of my life... I have to keep trying old things and new things. I found out when I combined the BEST street fighter concept with another BEST street fighter concept, I was able to beat the best people (and I wasn't even cheating!). You can find legitimate ways to use the world to your advantage in order to write the best response possible! It's 10:34 PM and my family/parents are at a wedding.

I know it seems farfetched but I think I can finish this case that's due next week before 8 AM today. way before that hopefully :)... I'm gonna go ciao! Man, I am so happy I beat that damn character!!!!!!!!! I"M AWESOME!!! you don't know how tough he is. Go play street fighter alpha 3 and try to beat charlie without using my technique. He's insanely tough to beat. You know what I kept thinking: It's not possible. It is just not possible to beat this guy every time, without cheating. IT"S JUST NOT! but there were always a spark of hope. Every time I played, I thought how do I beat him consistently. I know it's not possible at this point time. But if there's a way, I'm trying to find it out. Maybe if I use this strategy, or that strategy. I was not afraid to fail. I didn't mind. I enjoyed it. And I just kept at it... Maybe I should change the name of this blog to beatstreetfighteralpha3@blogspot.. KIDDING!!! No.. but seriously everytime, I've been writing cases, I think... It's just not possible. to write an hour long case... in 1 hours time... It's just not... But it is. You just have to find that ray of hope, and keep that inside. Keep trying! Keep trying! Keep trying! DON'T STOP UNTIL YOU"VE FOUND YOUR KEY! your magic pill, so to speak... I know I said I'd leave but...It all ties back into my cross bowmen theory. The theory that if you throw enough arrows at an opponent, they'll die instantly. The implication is that, if you put enough hours into your case writing skills, it'll become easy. And that's the goal we want. We need to create experience, to gain techniques which we'll apply in various areas of our life (specifically case writing for the CFE)... Sorry, if it seems like I'm going off on a tangent. I like to talk to myself, in my own terms, otherwise this would be a really lame blog where I'm just trying to write what will impress the reader. I'll leave professional writing for my cases, and my own video game analogies for my blog writing.

Let me ask you a question.

If you had 624 hours to study, out of how many days of the total number of days would you use to study?

If anyone asked me this my answer would be:  624-130hours (5 hours a day for sleep) = 494-4 hours for grocery shopping each week = 490hours - 26 hours (15 minutes * 4 meals a day*26 days remaining until cfe) = 464 so out of the 624 hours available I would basically spend 74%.

At first thought, I said to myself: 100%! of course! and then I thought... wait this isn't a perfect world. I'd probably die after 3 days without food.

time is now 12:09... Still haven't handed in my day 3 response which i have to do via dropbox.

but I'm glad I asked the question... it's a good question!

Everything remains the same.

All my motivations are lifting me up (whether I like those motivations or not).

Time is running out.

And I'm going to be focused on passing the CFE all up until the day of the exam. Cuz I ain't ready!!!

I think if I were ready in a little less than 2 weeks, then I will assure myself of pass. I'll do my best.

 Damnit, I tend to play video games whenever I've accomplished a big piece of the work that is due. I just handed my assignment in at 2:54 and it was due at 2:55... I like being on time.... eh? :P No, but honestly, the work I handed in wasn't really work I did on my own. I used the solution.... ALTHOUGH I did understand everything the solution did, I also came up with my own response in that I didn't include everything that the solution included. Everything was in my own words. But the solution went a long way to help. I'm sure this is the case with most candidates HOWEVER! I reeeeeeeeeeeeeally wanna be able to do this stuff from scratch!!! I hate having to use the solution....

ANYWAYS :) staying positive here. I am now technically in week 5 *shivers* Wait! I'm still in Week 4 *phew!* never mind. I have 2 days till it's done... it looks like i handed in the assignment 2 days before it was due... Is that true? Lemme check... GOOD! LOL I thought I was hardly on time. And yet I'm actually early!!! OH THE IRONY of it all...


ANYWAYS... I want to get a 2nd case done this week specifically the next one... and the one after that...

the sooner I get these cases over with the sooner I can use them to study... You guys should be aware that these cases are mandatory... you have to do them or else you get kicked out... well... I think you DEFINITELY get kicked out if you don't do the mock cases but you probably get warnings... actually now that I think about it<-- LOL i do this a lot... You don't get kicked out at all if you don't hand in their weekly submissions... BUT YOU DON"T GET MARKED... It's important to see how a case gets marked by a marker... Otherwise, you're somewhat screwed. I did DO the case. So I know what I did per se... Just need to kill it...

Okay so next case I'm gonna do is going to be a Day 2 case due 5 days... It's cold outside. Hmmm. Thinking about changing my shirt if it's too cold i'll wear a long sleeve one. Here's what I have left to hand in:

- Day 2 case (in 5 days)
- Day 3 case (in 8 days)
- Day 1 case (in 12 days)
- Day 3 case (in 15 days)
- Day 2 case (in 20 days)
- Day 3 case (in 22 days)

oh boy... scary stuff. Hmmmm.... Yeah... definitely need to get this shit done. And fast.


I'm going to take a walk... Ideally, of course, you know how I roll blogger. I'm pulling an all nighter because I am a night owl and I work it like dat. yeeeeeauh hahaha. okay. Gonna play a bit of a game before I do that... NO! i won't play a game... I will take this VERY seriously.. I'm going to put my stuff away... and then I"ll come back to it later. *Clean up time!* Btw, you guys have got to see my set up, it is pretty valuable, I must say.

Time is now: 3:31 AM. as a break, I'm going to bike to a near by school, shoot some hoops... And then I'll come back and give this day 2 case a punch in the face. It's apparently 20 degrees celcius outside lol... crazy. 94% humidity <-- I'd have to agree, it's been sticky lately. And then what? and now i go! LoL Last note, I was kind of upset I didn't get to do this case twice... Actually it both upset me and scared me. I need to be read for this CFE... Or else I'm in trouble... GRRRR! I've got more wrinkles on my face because I've literally been growling when I'm near the end of my studying to stay awake and just for instinctual drive in general.

4:50 AM... Just finished editing this video. LOL so what ended up happening was. I felt like dancing. So I danced a teeny bit in the middle of the intersection... There's no where to dance at 4:50 AM in my neighborhood with good floor! The intersection floor was horrible but it was cool scenery nonetheless. After I finished dancing I went back to my bike which the camera was sitting on and just started changing the music, then a cop comes by (they always come after me because I'm a night owl + I'm a tad crazy if you haven't noticed LOL) and says hey do you live in the area? And I'm like yes. And then he asks what are you doing up so late. Just biking and taking a break. And then he smiled and he was like cool! have a great night! And I was just like you too! And that was that... It's been worse those when I was younger I had a cop call back up LOL!!! Just because I'm so suspicious (okay THAT time I was wearing a ski-mask IT WAS COLD WINTER I ain't that crazy. That cop was just dumb, when back up arrived they made fun of him.) Soooo what else... ummm OH MAN! I went to the school to play basketball, I used to play there when I was a kid and I read some fire department sign, so I"m like okay I'll use the other entrance. And it's nearly pitch black. Somewhat scary, and then BAM! I went flying off my bike (I tend to do this bi-annually. Landed on my hands because it's what I do lol and then my glasses fell of my head so I looked around to look for them, while i cleaned my hands with the dewy grass. After I found my glasses, I thought it was best to go home just because I didn't want any cops telling me I'm not allowed to basketball at a school I don't go to at 4 AM... Meh!

Now it's 5:13 AM right now... I'm going to start on the next day 2 case... LET'S DO THIS!

Okay it's now 8:56 PM (I woke up a few hours ago) LOL check this out: teen dies playing video game for 40 hours straight now check this out! This woman from Singapore has the guiness book world record for sitting against a wall for 12 hours straight... Mad respect!!!!

Now I HAVE A CHALLENGE: Let's set the longest guiness book world record time for sitting in a chair and doing your homework!

5 minutes in and I cut my hair and took a shower and got dressed again. I kept itching my head cuz my hair was pretty darn long.

11:00 PM new end time --- so that' 36 minutes... Good start :) Took a break played a bit of a game, and now I'm gonna lie down for a bit and then go at it again! I said I'd do that but instead I breakdanced, now I'm going to study :) felt good to exercise.

CFE's less than a month away. Time is a motivating factor.

Mind, body, and soul needs to be put in this.

I usually go on walks and remind myself of my motivations to keep plowing through!

My future children's happiness is a motivating factor for me as well. My theory is that behaviour can predict your future children's behaviour. For example, I agree with the theory that drug addiction is heriditary.

There may be hundreds and thousands of people relying on the work of an accountant, especially when you're helping to produce financial statements for other to rely on (e.g. the public looking at an annual statement).

But i gave him a warning that I was sick. He was like "Oh man, my immune system is weak I better not come" And I think it was a win-win. He needed some help with photoshop and/or video editing. But he's smart, he actually knows how to do it. Then again it's not like super tough or anything

I'm reeeeeeeeeeeeeally reeeeeeeeeeeeally hoping I can work until 9 AM again :). I'm glad I put so many hours in. And I'm sure it helped me with my knowledge... If I can finish the next day 2 case or day 3 case... Then I"ll be a happy camper. If I finish multiple cases I'll be super happy... The plan is to finish these cases and then study them like crazy so that I can do well.

Last thing I wanna mention is that: I am focused on passing the CFE. (lack of mental focus is a breeding ground for defeat and vice versa a surplus of mental focus is a breeding ground for success).

I just watched a bit of Berserk... it's one of my favorite animes... But it's for a mature audience... Like very mature... For me, when I went to College for my bachelors degree, I always thought of lack of focus in a similar way to the last ending scene in Berserk. From an overall perspective, this has to do with negative reinforcement (specifically the type that increases behaviour to avoid a  bad outcome). That anime is extremely graphic. I was actually not going to post this post, but I mean. Unfortunately, similar things do happen in real life: murder, rape, decapitation, psychological trauma. These are all horrible things. And if you're not strong in one way or another, it can unfortunately affect your life. All of these horrible things happen everywhere.

One thing I inferred from watching it (and many other anime) is the following:

In the game of life, you will have various opponents, As long as you are strong in the best practices of defeating that opponent, you will win. If you are weak in the best practices of defeating opponents, you will lose. Winning feels great. It gives you a sense of control. It causes a pervasive sense of happiness in you, and then others around you. Contrarily, losing also gives you a sense of cognitive dissonance, which can be pervasive first in you, and then other around you. So win, life-damnit, win.

it's 9:27 PM right now and I've been studying since I woke up pretty much.

I was just in the middle of writing a case and I wanted to tell you about a theory I have.

I call it cross bowmen theory.

I created it from a game I used to play as a kid called Age of Empires. Basically what I would do is build up an army of guys who use cross bows. generally what would happen was I would have 20-50 guys with cross bows. and they would fire away all at once to any enemy that would come nearby ... instant death for the enemy and instant win for me.

How does this relate to school? The way you use your moments in life is similar to how you arrange your army. If you create a ton of cross bowmen, you will be unstoppable in that game. Conquering any enemy in your way... The same concept applies to the CFE in my opinion. If you come at it with 5 million moments, you will crush it. But if you come at it with less than that, it will crush you. This integrates with my last post as well. That guy was explaining that you have to come at your goals with your heart, body and soul. Why? because there's power in numbers.

Another concept I had was from my breakdancing. I'm a good breakdancer. Pretty one of the best in  Canada. However, if you put me up against 100 of the best globally. I will most definitely fail against every single one of them... I look at the CFE competition like my competition in breakdancing. There are a ton of guys out there who will probably cream me when it comes to writing a case. BUTT and that's a big butt, if you train with this idea in mind, you will likely train a lot harder than usual. And that is what I'm doing right now. Imagine what your best is... Now multiply that by 10. That's your competition. I get that from my breakdancing. There's like 5 guys off the top of my head in Canada who are better than me. But I know if I trained harder, I could beat them, or at least be as good as them. Same with the CFE, I can give it my best and say after a case :) wow. I'm really glad that case is over. I finished it. I'm so glad I handed it in on time... YAaaaaay. No. not good enough. nowhere near good enough. I'm taking my sample of what I know competition to be (i.e. they're generally 10 times better) now extrapolate into the realm of CFE. I need to get 10 times better than what I think is my best performance. Then I can compete myself. Ensuring a pass, and maybe even a medal.

"my dad said 'If you're gonna do a job, do a job.  And if you're not gonna do a job, don't do a job. And that is the key of everything' No, seriously, the notion is that if you're really gonna do something then GIVE it your Heart, body, and soul. And do it. And really care. And have the kind of brain that forces you, where you're always thinking about it, and worrying about it, and caring about it, and nuturing it, and tending to it, and growing it, and just WOOOOOOOOOOH You either be all in, or be all out. There are disadvantages to this kind of personality, I will tell you.. It's not all a bed of roses. But if you want to start something particularly, the notion that says if you're in, get in, be all in, be accountabilty in, if you're going to be 1 of the 13% (in the room) of the folks that peter was talking about that's doing start up, i gaurantee you,that unless you're all in, and not in for 6 months, let's see how it goes, or a year, no start ups do well that quickly. You gotaa be in you gotta stay in and you gotta take a long-term view. you gotta be as hardcore as anything if you're gonna be successful. Uhh, I would say that's probably the best piece of advice I ever got. The worst piece of advice is very simple. I had a bunch of people when I was at Stanford business school tell me not to drop out to join Microsoft, and that cosmically would be the worst advice I ever got in my life."

Spent the last 3 hours installing some software for a good friend of mine. He's going to come by and use it. And I'm going to be out of his way, studying my ass off. Anything else??? hmmm... Yeah...


4 AM - I'm gonna have some cereal + cartoon, then sleep.
4 PM - checked social media
5 PM - get rid of social media. (deactivating my facebook <-- i waste time on it.)

hmmmmmmmmm anything else? yes I need to eat... I'm feeling sick still a bit... whatever MIND OVER MATTER. gonna try and eat some healthy food.

5:37 - Ate some super healthy fruit smoothie. I added blue grapes which basically have a ton of vitamin c and have the texture of blue berries (they might have the same properties which would be GREAT because blue berries are definitely a super food in my opinion).

Now I'm gonna floss and watch some of my old favorite cartoon: Ned's Newt.

Oh man! I'm so happy!!! I'm so organized with all the study material for Capstone 2... :) Everything is within a seconds reach. Gotta e-mail a friend who sent me a bday card. And then finally I can have a long study session. I think it's important that if you're feeling sick, you need to wait till you get well to study, otherwise you're going to have 10 less effective study sessions.

What would you rather have. 1 day to get feel great and 9 days to study while you feel fine

or

10 days where you feel less than optimal..

I would much have the former, since with the former, emphasizes effectiveness, over time... Time is REALLY important. But quality is almost always better than quantity. especially when you consider that CPA's standards are quite high!

I'm happy to say, I went through the modules before (unlike some candidates who get to skip the modules). Because I went through the modules. I'm aware that I'm not gonna have enough time to go through all the cases. UNLESS, I totally bust my balls and reeeeeeeeeeally work my ass off.

I can do that. I can work my ass off.

So the plan now is:

Finish all the cases first.
Learn all the cases second.
keep learning until I can do them within the a lotted time limits.

Now obviously this may take a lot of time... But I think I can do it in a months time... :)

The plan: eat bread and hummus and try to reach 24 hours in terms of study time... :)

While the Mock exam was very thrilling, boy was it tough!!!!

I honestly took the whole day to do the Day 3 portion of the CFE... They want us to do all this stuff in 4 hours?!? And they think it'll take 3 hours? I guess you have to be a walking brain to be an accountant? or a cyborg. I bet they perform their calculations in split seconds...

Alas, I'm just kidding around... I truly do believe that I can do this, and that anything is possible...

I really enjoyed writing the Mock CFE exam... It was pretty damn tough... I have to say...

Now that the deadline is passed. There is a lot stuff that I wasn't able to do. Especially for the Day 2 exam as well as the last day 3 portion of the mock exam... I'm actually quite scared that CPA will say, Oh you didn't reasonably attempt the both portions... I did my ultimate best. I thought I had a damn near perfect answer for the 1st day 3 case... But the 2nd one was a bit worse and the third one was really tough...

I think the hardest part of writing the CFE exam is to write it competently and within the time limits specified.

I need to get better. I feel like my assurance skills are lacking. Like every assurance question looks daunting to me, so that's an area, I really need to brush up on....

I'm REALLY hoping they allow me to stay in the program. I would be really upset if I had to give up. Honestly, this shit is so tough, that I've been using the solutions they gave me extensively to write up my solution. HOWEVER, I haven't been copying anything. I've been understanding things the way they see it. It's not like they know we aren't looking at it. THEY GAVE IT TO US THEMSELVES. It's just really hard. I think it's important to look at the solutions as much as possible when you're first starting out. Otherwise, you're gonna have very little progress, and to be honest, you won't be changing your thought patterns. Absolutely no improvement will be made. BUT when you do look at the solution, I tend to say HEYYYY that's a good point. Or you know I think that's true, but I would say this instead. Other times, I don't even agree with the solution, so I won't put it in my response, because I like to understand everything I'm putting in. SOoooo, I have a lot of room to improve... I'm just hoping I can do it in 1 months time and I'm hoping that they let me continue to try and do so.

Now that the mock CFE is over... I feel very relaxed. Before I was like OMG I HAVE NO TIME... I gotta hand it in. I Gotta get it done! and I think that (as I've said before, for sure). A sense of urgency is a powerful thing. Especially when real exam scenarios will have that sense of urgency... So I suppose I can set some due dates for myself...

Another point is... I tend to remember the most recent cases first. And the oldest ones faintly. That being said, it's generally easier to learn a more recent case, than an older case. So I think it'll be really helpful, to debrief the Mock CFE and then work backwards. However, I do need to learn how to write within time limits... That is an insanely important skill, otherwise, I'm totally screwed. So I might get SUPER into this Mock CFE case that was given to us.

Disclaimer: I am not talking about the content of the CPA cases. I'm literally talking about the materials they give us. This all information that you can find online. Just saying, since I'd rather not have CPA run after me saying I disclosed some secret information. The candidate guide is on the net. Anyone that knows how to use google can find it. So, no one should have anything against me unless they hate my blog writing style, in which case you probably just shouldn't read my blog haha. Let's keep our distance *WINK!*... Hahaha.... *Siiiigh* man that was hefty study day... My set up is pretty intense... I like it.

I got a super sweet organizer to my right. I got another computer to my left... I honestly don't think I'm going to need a back up laptop... In case I do, I'll probably just borrow my sisters for 3 days (i.e. the CFE days and just use it for those days...

OH man... Like honestly, there's no advantage to worrying about it. You just have to do your best. And yeah. You just gotta do your best...

The time now is 3:27 AM... Yayyy I'm not alone :) my ex misses me I think. I miss her a lot too. I sleep holding the hat she gave me. I'm kinda upset that I took back everything that I gave her... IT'S COMPLICATED, OKAY!? She told me she's leaving the country... That's cool, I mean... I'm glad she told me because it shows me she cares to tell me. And I've told her before I'd like to know when she's leaving. I was under the impression that she found someone else, so I was kinda like... Oh okay. I'm totally alone....... :S this sucks lol butttt I may not be the most handsome dude, but I'm like a deaf frog. I will keep jumping even if you tell me not to. In other words, I don't mind getting rejected.


SO, I think I should go to sleep. It's late... I'm not very sleepy but I know my body would appreciate it.

During the day I took a 15 minute break where I just hit a soccer ball with my baseball bat, and then I did some pull ups on a nearby swing set. Then I biked for a bit and then I ran holding my bike for a bit. I am one of thee biggest fitness freaks you will ever meet (e.g. search on youtube bboy crosel). The point is I'm very athletic. I have a propensity to be an amazing athlete, but my whole life I've been in school, so I like to think I'm a force to be reckoned with mentally as well as physically. That being said, I really can't 1000% ignore my bodily needs (e.g. good food, I need healthy food. I need some exercise if I'm feeling constipated or something) Other than that, I can go without exercise. It's not a big deal. But you know it's a sacrifice, I'm willing to make.

I don't wanna get sick, so I'll head to bed. G'nyte readers. I will update you on my progress in the near future. I literally spent at least 12 hours today studying. maybe even 15. I'll try to wake up as early as I can... and just STUDYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY ttyl!

2:11 PM - I suppose I'm somewhat well rested. I've been up since 12 eating and taking are of random house chores. Time is flying :( Okay but I can do this...Some feedback I got from my case writing was:

I need to use point form to reach their competency requirements. And I need to become a better planner in terms of timing, so that I can hit all the issues asked for. hmmm... 'kay, reasonable feedback!

I really want to make use of today. Every day counts!!! <-- lol I did very little studying today... But I did make use of it to some degree. I bought a new tooth sonicare toothbrush. My old one was getting really slow. I'm still gonna use the old one for brushing my gums (cuz it's weak and gums are so precious..... lol), but the new one is needed for getting plaque off my teeth. I also helped fix the washing machine, so I can finally stop wearing old underwear! KIDDINGGGGG... I spent a lot of time with my family. I played with my nephew, ate and talked with my parents and siblings. Ate a lot of healthy food <-- which I needed because I've felt very sick for a while. Paid off a credit card bill owing... I'm actually quite tired! brb!

The time is 2:22 AM and I need to do the day 3 portion of the (Mock) CFE.

There is a noble idea that some people don't act selfishly. They act in the best interest of others.

Even in a perilous situation...

For example, right now, I really don't want to work the entire day...

On the other hand, it's a great opportunity to learn! And become skillful!

And my emotions tell me I'm lonely (I really miss my ex), someone might be hitting that right now :S yikes! LOL... okay, none of my business....

what is my business, is the day 3 exam. Let's follow best practices and STEP UP!

Here's a case writing tip: DRESS appropriately according to temperature. During the module exams, CPA would put us in these SUPER COLD gyms. The only time I ended up failing a CPA exam was when I didn't study very hard, and I didn't dress appropriately I wore a T-shirt in a FREEZING room. So BRING layered clothing no matter what!!! In fact, I'm going to go put a few layers of clothing in my school bag right now. That's how important it is. Furthermore!!!! When I'm studying, I tried to replicate exam scenarios by wearing a long sleeve + pants... Are you guys aware it's summer. I've been sweating my ass off pretending it was cold!!! So what I do now is I just wear shorts when I'm practicing. Sometimes even boxers (it gets hot in my study room).

Watch and LEARN!

The above is a video interviewing Steve Ballmer. Ballmer has more shares of Microsoft than Bill Gates. The shares are easily worth billions of dollars. That isn't to say Ballmer is a genius; that's clear. But I REALLY like what he has to say.

Alright...

So I spoke with a CPA Facilitator and they said because I did my work early. I should aim to finish off my work by today, it should be fine. But since no revisions are allowed I have to start from scratch. No problem. So if I want to get ahead, I need to start well before 9:55. The time now is already 5:55. Leaving me 4 hours of study time. Let's rock the day :)

I ate a ton of fruit. As well as some All-bran + walnuts + almonds + raisins. Then I had some more grains + berries in the form of granola bars. I hope my stomach is somewhat happy lol It was feeling rather upset earlier. I'm going to wash my hands and rest a teeny bit. 


JUMPING ON THE OPPORTUNITY SIDE OF THE SCALE

Now, I'm not a professional that does audits yet. But the way I see it is this: 

There is a giant scale (almost the size of a diving board): The left side of the scale is red and represents risk, the right side of the scale is blue and represents opportunity. 

This diving board like scale is where an accounting firm (that does audits) has to position itself. 

It will either incur the risk of having a lawsuit filed against it. 

Or it will have the opportunity to make lots of money. 

Where the accounting firm positions itself depends on probably many factors, but the main factor in my opinion would be COMPETENCY. 

Getting competent at auditing will put you on the opportunity side of auditing. 

You are always on one side of the scale. 

But if you don't use your time to learn about all the ins and outs of providing reasonable assurance, then you will end up falling towards the risk of lawsuit side. 

So it's really important to LEARN!

You all know how easily a scale tilts right? I think it's the same way. This was a good analogy to motivate me to study hard. I hope it helps you too :)

I'm going to aim for this:

so the day 2 exam for the CFE is 5 hours long = 4 hours of real work and 1 hour of planning time

and the day 3 exam for the CFE is 3 exams each 60-90 minutes long = about an hour of work and a few minute for planning <-- BASICALLY.

That being said I will want to dedicate approximately 3.5 times as much time I have in the next 24 hours for the day 2 case I need to hand in, in comparison to the day 3 case I need to hand in...

so if you could divide the day into 4.5 parts and then allocate 3.5 parts to day 2 studying and 1 part for day 3, what would you get?

You'd get:

24 hours *3.5/4.5 = 18.6667 hours for the day 2 portion
24 hours *1/4.5 = 5.3333 hours for the day 3 portion

That being said I will work on the day 3 case first. And I will finish before 5:20 AM and I will not go beyond 5:20 AM.

Then I will work on the day 2 portion. And I will finish before 12:00 AM the following day and I will not go beyond 12:00 AM the following day...

Seems intense right? THAT'S BECAUSE I AM!

Okay, let's start cuz that's what winners do baby ;)

P.S. I've been using BOTH sticky tack and a small portable shelf manage my work space. I can't say it's WAY better than a small expensive drawer for organizing all the different documents they (i.e. CPA) gives us. However, my method is super cheap! Yet practical! The only downside is that sometimes when you leave cases on your wall for a while, they tend to rip off a bit. But if you use sticky tack AND a small shelf, the small shelf mitigates the number of papers you have to sticky tack against a wall. :) Okay, I'm satisfied with that. Peace, ttyl blogger!


It's 3:20... I've only finished 1/4 issues I need to do and there's only 2 hours to go until I should be done my day 3 case... NOW normally, I would have taken a break. For example, go watch TV while I eat. Instead I'm just letting you know: I'VE GROWN! :) I'm forgoing the break for more time to do my exam.

Oh man, I got some super sweet techniques with the sharpkeys program. I have literally learned to open and close the pdf viewer within 1 second as opposed to the: let's think about clicking over here, then there. Okay it's not a huge time saver, but it DEFINITELY a time saver. I just use keyboard short-cuts and then I lined them up using the F1, F2 keys and it's literally bam, bam, bam, bam, bam! <-- in that fashion lol I have given you the gist of the idea, you'll have to figure it out on ur own :P

I also figured out how to make any of my quotes look readable!!! I used to have to do this time wasting backspace, space, forward key thing. Now it's all done in a second bam, bam, bam! <-- in that fashion with my F12, F11, F10 keys... This isn't cheating btw, it's innovative thinking! I'm basically just using keyboard shortcuts in a cool way. Saves time. Me like. Also makes my work look better <-- which tells the reader of my work: okay this guy is not messy, so I can trust his work. Know what I mean? anyways...

What else Oh man... I learned a lot:

- not to spend time planning. I found it to be a waste of time for the day 3 cases. All my planning is when I write the memo. And I'm allllllways tight on time. I will plan while I read. You know what I mean? I will also think as I read. I do that anyways!!! I know some gold medalists emphasize planning, but what works for one person doesn't necessarily work for the next.

- oh the granola bar is kinda of chewy... Last thing I want to do is spend 30 seconds chewing a freaking granola bar. I'd rather eat a muffin. It also sticks in your teeth!!! GUH!!!! "Ain't nobody got time fo dat!"

other tips for myself:

- don't let my mind wander.
- focus on literally copying out case facts; similar to a typing test <-- you can't copy and paste these because they're on a physical paper! While it doesn't add value to literally copy out case facts, if you couple a case fact with an implication it suddenly adds value.  Try going to keyhero.com My Avg. Speed was 77.32 WPM and Avg. accuracy was 92.09%. I generally type anywhere from 70 to 90 WPM and honestly... I think that's slow for what's needed for the CFE! JHEEEEZ!
- speak my mind as i go through the case, otherwise I waste time. For example if you see a connection talk about it. Obviously within the format that is expected for example if you're supposed to identify an issue, you can say: There is an issue associated with BLAH. that kind of thing... I just find that I get carried away with looking at all the text surrounding an issue, it's very easy to get caught just reading, because there is so much to analyze!!!

Alright, back to work peace out. Next time I won't be taking a break here... Which is basically what I did.. Damnit!!!

I'm not joking around when I say what motivates me and what I share regarding what makes a winner a winner. I can definitely see myself passing my pain threshold... I would much rather be playing a video game or watching tv. But truly: no pain, no gain. And IF YOU WANT TO COMPETE AT A HIGH LEVEL, YOU NEED TO DO HIGH LEVEL TRAINING. OTHERWISE YOU'RE NOT COMPETENT, YOU SIMPLY HAVE CONFIDENCE WITHOUT COMPETENCE. 




Key factor in increasing your speed: Do the easier stuff first! By getting stuck on a required case element, you are effectively bottlecapping your productiveness. Seriously though... As I've said before, success breeds success. And by accomplishing a few of the easier Required's, you are increasing your chances of passing! You also rule out what the other required's are not referring to. 

I also wanted to mention that I'm grateful to my parents who worked incredibly hard to give me an easy life. Growing up I didn't NEED a job. I just focused on my passions, which was awesome. The point is: I need to work hard NOW, to follow in my parents footsteps and give my kids an opportunity to just focus on their passions.

It's 2:13 PM - still not entirely done the day 3 case, but it will have to wait. Day 2 case is a mock CFE so it needs to take precedence! Time to clean up! for now....

8:39 PM - I used the day to sleep, eat, go out and buy a new 10 drawer shelf... Yahoo! I was feeling sick. Okay... I need to use every second to focus on completing the new day 2 case because it's Mock case.

"NOTE FROM FUTURE SELF: I DID THE DAY 2 CASE 1 DAY EARLIER THAN I WAS SUPPOSED TO........ and I didn't feel like I did a great job, so maybe they'll let me adjust it! Let's find out."

This is a mock CFE day 2... So you need to get good at time management. A perfect opportunity to test yourself for the REAL cfe. *talking to myself here* So what I need to do is:

- Read up on all the materials given. Read them as many times as you can.
- Stop preparing by 9:30 PM
- You'll have 5 hours to write the darn thing. So that means you will stop at 2:30 AM.

Then I still have a bit of day 3 stuff to do. That will give me 1 hour and 25 minutes to do a comparative analysis needed as well as some "review" stuff. It's in quotations because it's not review in the general sense but in the providing moderate assurance sense. I think I should finish off the day 3 stuff first and then work on the day 2 stuff with real time restrictions.

9:05 PM - executing the plan I just talked about in the last paragraph ^^^
 

2:15 AM - just finishing the rest of my day 2 case before I hand it in. There's a lot missing but then again, i'm comparing it to a solution that wasn't written in the time constraints... HOWEVER...

That doesn't mean sh!t... No one is going to give you your goals on a silver platter. You need to be vicious till the very end. Time to show your fangs and dive in as far as you can. I'm a beast in the mind, body and soul! 

I was able to finish the MOCK CFE case... however I only attacked one and a half of the assessment opportunities for my area of focus (i.e. assurance)!!! Man, financial reporting was so long!!!

I'm seriously feeling like... I NEED TO FIND THE MAGIC PILL! THE MAGIC PILL THAT WILL SPEED UP MY exam writing process. <=== lol @ magic pill. Highly highly doubt there is one.

It's only August 20th. I have at least 30 days to master the cases that I've been given.

My motto: anything is possible under certain conditions.

Time is now 5:04 AM

I still remember my quote from yesterday: a battle between the best is a struggle for decimal points.

That being said, I'd like to continue, there's basically 19 hours left of the day to go! :)

So! I still feel a tad groggy.

I'm going to go RECAP MY MOTIVATIONS I wrote down in the past because that could help here.

I always like to start off my day with a look at my motivations. Afterall, before you do any analysis (quantitative or qualitative in nature) you should state the purpose (i.e. the motivation).

So new plan after reading a piece of my past blog: go to the library, and read a UFE/CFE book related to tax. I have the call number.

OOO! I'm gonna go wash my water bottle I found at a bus stop LOL I left it in antibacterial dish washing solution. So IT'S CLEAN! OKAY?  :P I have a water filtration system at home so I'm literally just going to fill this baby up every now and then. It's been cleaned and dried. Since CPA requires that drinks are in a clear container with no label, I had to rip the label off. No biggie! Yay! I feel like mega-man... It took me less than 5 minute. :P

I'll pick up some groceries (healthy fruits and veges, kim chi) on the way to getting my book. That being said I'll bring some bags for the groceries.

Your time passing and running out is also another good motivator.

- food actually gives you energy, and makes sure your body's organs are healthy (In the past 20 minutes, I've been eating a giant bowl of awesome salad: broccoli, cauliflower, tomatoe, romaine lettuce, carrots, sesame seed oil, mustard, and kiwi!) <-- delicious and nutritious.

- intangible drives push you to do the right thing.
There are a lot of intangible drives.

I've mentioned a few in prior posts, for example:

I have to pass for all the things I've given up to do this
I have to pass for my environment (my environment is FULL of over-achievers <-- both close and far) 
I have to pass based on my past (I have been overachieving for a LONG time now, I've been growing and growing and I don't have any excuse for why I shouldn't be able to grow in terms of the mind) 
I have to work on passing because the exam is approaching!"

What else? I'm sure there's stuff upstairs I can eat like a PEACH! nice... anything else? hmmm....There isn't much that I can think of... I'll need to grab fruits and veges from the grocery store... What time does it open? .... It opens at 8 AM... HEY! COOL! It takes only 10 minutes to get there :D!!!! That's awesome!!! I'll be going there more often then. I think it takes like 5-7 minutes to get back at a high speed of course... oh man I'm so happy to know that!!!!... I need to call my investment advisor today... Need to ask for funds $_$ MUhahahahaha. hahaha... ^^ 

Alright. Time to grab some food! I'm pretty sure I can grab groceries for today. :) I don't trust buying groceries for the future. They always go bad it blows. But hey, at least I'm eating REAL food and not plastic burgers from McDonalds...  
 
9:44 AM - I need to buy socks from wal-mart. Granola BERRY Snacks for long study sessions. I also need to go to the North York Public Library to pick up that tax book and take pictures... I'd be super pissed if I went all the way there and it WASN'T there... Just called the library, it's there! :D... I'll go grab my camera, grab my credit card to buy socks... I won't be going to wal-mart... so is there another place to buy socks? So I should probably call and ask to see if there is a copy there before I go... I'll do that now. I would have left earlier. But I had a flood in my kitchen -_- Gah... Ah well :) Okay... So! Oh. and I should get a stapler remover... And groceries! okay okay lol. I'm gonna go brush my teeth and leave. My stomach is full of enough nutrients to rock the day!

So, I went out and I:

- Bought some socks at a dollar store. I got a really good deal!!! 4 bux for 3 pair!!! WOOHOO! And it's 80% cotton so it's decent quality :)
- finally got a staple remover; I was using this crap substitute staple remover that could remove staples but didn't do as good of a job as a classic staple remover.
- bought some masking tape! I tend to find it VERY useful to keep myself focused when I write something on masking tape, and keep it at the top of my laptop screen.

- bought 2 types of granola snacks: one mainly dark chocolate, one mainly berries. I'll see which one really helps me with my brain stamina for the long exam session. Whichever one is best, is the one I will be going back to the grocery store for. STEER CLEAR OF modified palm oil. You may as well be eating lighter fluid mmm mmm <3

- bought a ton of fruit and veges that must've been in season because it was SO cheap!!!! I was so happy. I bought a weeks worth of groceries for only $30!!!! I don't eat much meat nowadays, I usually just rely on hummus; some type of beans. and I also use supplements for meat such as B12, and I also take a multi-vitamin.

- I finally got the CFE/UFE tax: guide book that jason flemming wrote! Super cool! I'm gonna read it for sure! It's roughly 300 pages, large print and a small book. So it's probably equivalent to 150 pages of on 11x8.5 inch paper.

- I saw a ton of HOT girls outside... Added that to my list of motivations for acing the CFE <3 Passing the cfe and being a CPA will give me more options for dates. Woohoo ;)

Okay time to eat and get back into the flow of things. Time is now 4:25, OMG ... just ate some good food and I can feel the energy! Food I randomly find in the fridge is so limiting! Grrrrr.

Fell asleep, woke up, ate, brushed teeth. It is now 11:38 PM and I'm beginning work mode! Going all out because I feel very PREPPED.

So basically, I have to finish an entire day 3 case by the end of tomorrow. Because 3 hours after the end of tomorrow, I will need to submit my day 3 case..

I dunno if I mentioned it here but I got CD (Competency with distinction on everything in my last day 3 case) :D which is great, but I'm pretty darn sure I didn't write it within the alotted time.

I was in the middle of a day 2 case, I was trying to learn the in's and out's of it. But I think the day 3 case should take priority. I literally have 24 hours to master it. Which sounds good to me, but there are a TON of other things I'll need to do soon for example: The MOCK CFE. Which basically determines whether you pass the Capstone 2 course or not.

SO, At the exact same time I will need to finish the entire day 3 case, I will also need to finish an entire day 2 case in securexam. YIKES! Okay. Sounds intense but I believe I can do it. In fact, judging by my motivations, I will aim to do that and more!

I will also be writing three day 3 exams during the day after!!! Oh man hahaha this is gonna be crazier than usual... I'm really hoping that I will really GROW during this period. By that I mean. I will learn a crazy amount so that

I will be:

- more efficient at answering these case requireds.
- so fast at answering the requireds, that I fall within the specified time limits.

That was a secret self-affirmation there. Dunno if you noticed that haha ^^

Okay... So the time is now: 11:48 PM... I suppose it's good that I'm so equipped now... Today's accumulation of healthy food and some exam writing supplies should be of some use!

What do I have to do first? For starter's I'm going to have to move this Day 2 exam away again >_< Gah! I wanted to continue it, but judging by my workload, I REALLLLLY need to get this stuff done. And with effectiveness! <-- Good word right here <3
